This is a short collection of 3D models and assets that I’ve made over some time during my studies as part of them as well as part of my own interest in 3D art.
The intention is to track and show my own progress in learning. 3D art is not the central part that I am or have been focused on, but I do like learning about it as it helps me become more aware of what certain objects look like. I find that deconstructing objects into smaller components helps me understand and visualize the details they are made up of. Additionally it allows me to stay creative when I feel like doing something more than just scribbling on paper.
Early stages of learning in 3DS Max. Using simple and most common tools to structure a shape and then texturing it with simple texture wraps.
Still in the early stages of learning. However, this time the task was to create some simple assets for our school project game 'The Island'.
With the help of online classes, a significant improvement is visible. Here are some improvisations that I've made with the help of the tutorials.
After watching a few Star Wars movies I got inspired and tried to apply the previously learned techniques in modeling and rendering to create a flying combat drone of some sort.
